Not a great stay

The location is convenient for exploring the old town.

The WiFi did not work at all! We contacted the owner about it and did not get any reply for a few hours. Decided to go out for a walk and by luck noticed she owns a shop nearby. Went in to ask her about it and were told that sometimes it works and sometime it doesn’t, and that there’s nothing she can do about it. It was frustrating even though my husband is Italian and tried to talk to her about it. She was not apologetic at all and was quite rude. We noticed that our phones have basically zero reception as well in the room so figured it’s the location. We checked the internet cable and saw that it’s not connected to any LAN line. It’s obvious that wireless connection overall is an issue from the room and only a LAN line (if available) can offer more reliable service. The owner is aware of the issue and yet falsely advertised the room as having “WiFi”. It’s not until after we filed a complaint with Booking.com that we got a message from the owner asking us to try the wifi from another room in the building, which worked for one day and then stopped working. We ended up having to go outside whenever we needed to access the internet. The “wifi machine” in the room never worked the whole time we stayed there…In addition, the room wasn’t properly cleaned, she left cleaning towels behind, the moka pot had old coffee ground in it, and the bedsheets and towels were smelly…The building is located on a quite and charming street and the room itself has a lot of potential, it’s unfortunate that it hasn’t been looked after with care.
