Thanks to the staggered arrangement of the houses at the eastern and western ends of the pool area, each apartment—with its own private entrance and outdoor seating area—offers the privacy you need. Our guests seek (and find) exactly the kind of family-friendly atmosphere of a small resort, away from mass tourism.

At the very latest after we saw a pod of dolphins swimming by from the terrace for the first time, it was clear to us what needed to be done. The entire property has a green energy footprint; we generate all our hot water using solar thermal energy and our electricity using clean photovoltaics.

Despite the spectacular location, it’s only a 5-minute drive to Calheta Villa, where, in addition to the two free golden-sand beaches (the only sandy beaches on the island), a cultural center, a supermarket, and a marina with bars and restaurants right on the waterfront provide the necessary infrastructure. Calheta Villa also has taxis, banks, a small hospital, and a German physical therapist. Providers of whale and dolphin watching tours and a wide variety of vacation activities—such as mountain bike tours, scuba diving, tandem paragliding, and deep-sea fishing—can also be found there.
