We very much enjoyed our stay here. The room was big and comfortable. It was futons, but there were thin mattress toppers on them, which made them feel relatively soft. The room was part of the hosts’ home, but they completely respected our privacy and were incredibly kind and friendly. The toilet and shower were down a flight of stairs, but solely for our use.
The house is on a bus route from the station (very near a bus stop) and near two supermarkets.
Shie speaks very good English and is really communicative and helpful.
The breakfast was second to none - with a choice of western or Japanese (we had both and both were delicious) and diets catered for (I don’t eat meat or dairy).
If you want more of a Japanese experience and to meet Japanese people, I would highly recommend this place. It’s more basic than a hotel, but the authenticity and lovely people absolutely made staying here worth it!

The whole experience was great fun. The room was wonderful as was the food.
The owners help, their friendliness and their care is unmatched.
I shall recommend without reservation.
Slightly out of town. However we were aware when we booked.
The bus service was very easy and convenient.
