We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Terracota! The house is beautiful, spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated, with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere.
Ana was a wonderful host, very kind, welcoming and attentive to detail. She personally welcomed us and handed over the keys, and even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift, which was such a lovely touch!
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, and there were even some basic supplies in the cupboards, which was a nice bonus. We didn't cook during our stay, so we didn't get a chance to use the appliances. The weather was so lovely that we spent most of our time at the house enjoying the beautiful terrace rather than staying indoors. The jacuzzi was definitely a highlight and the perfect way to relax after long days exploring the Algarve.
The house is located in the historic part of Silves, a charming town full of character, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. We used Silves as our base for exploring the Algarve, and it turned out to be a great choice.
We felt right at home and genuinely enjoyed our stay. It's a place we would happily return to and definitely recommend!
The main downside for us was the mattresses, which we found quite firm and not particularly comfortable. Of course, mattress preferences are very personal, but they were a little too hard for our liking.
The bathrooms could use a few improvements. Neither bathroom has a window or a ventilation system, and the sliding door in the downstairs bathroom didn’t work very smoothly, while the upstairs bathroom door was difficult to close properly. On the positive side, the downstairs shower was nice and spacious.
Parking directly in front of the house was usually occupied by other residents, but we managed to find a spot nearby. There’s also a free parking area just a few minutes’ walk away, so this wasn’t a major inconvenience.
None of these issues took away from our overall experience. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!

We loved the property. It was clean, comfortable , and spacious with a wonderful patio where we ate breakfast and dinner - and great balcony with a city view where we had our drinks. Ana was super and checked in to make sure all was well. . We would definitely stay at Casa Terracotta again ( oh and the beds were great too).
I truly can't think of any negative thing to say. A super place
