Nice room.
Friendly staff.
It was quiz night and a nice sociable atmosphere in the bar. Food and ale was of good quality.
There was no one there when I arrived to check in. Took one hour before I was able to get into the property. In the end this was not a problem but initially caused some anxiety.

Breakfast was just enough with fruit, cereal, etc.

Useful good stop for the Coast to Coast walk with lovely staff and basic " bar food". Bedrooms clean and comfortable but quite small.
We booked Bed and Breakfast but there is no breakfast available. The hotel do not do breakfast in the off season. There is a cafe in the village but it doesnt open till 9 and as long distance walkers we wanted to get away earlier. We were mis-sold as BnB by Booking.com
