We had the most wonderful stay at Tawny Cottage and couldn’t recommend it highly enough! Everything exceeded our expectations, from the warmest welcome and exceptional hospitality to the quality of the accommodation and grounds. We were also very fortunate to have two magical evenings in the hot tub under clear starry skies; a perfect stay that we will remember fondly!
Nothing to fault, we loved it!

There is nothing about Tawny cottage that wasn't just fabulous! Dual aspect in the living space through big windows, lots of light, views that are in every direction. It was so serene, you could get lost in the peacefulness, which was exactly what we wanted. High end kitchen equipment. Washing machine with pods and an airer. Beds are big and extremely comfy. Shower is big and roomy, has two heads so can choose which you want to choose. A lovely armchair located in a position on its own with a view out of balcony doors to just chill and read or watch Stanley the rooster and chickens run around, with the occassional pheasant appearing. Bedrooms also have an amazing view, which is still visible in the hot tub situated just outside bedrooms.
Nathan, was really lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, plus his charming dad, who would come and have a chat if we were outside or looking at the beautiful owls and tell us more. A real delightful find, one of the best cottages I've stayed in. We will be back!!!
The only fault we found which wouldn't necessarily apply to everyone, is the sofas were uncomfortable. There were four of us in our party, we all found them uncomfortable but I have joint issues and struggled to get comfortable the most. I turned the armchair to face living space and put my feet up on the comfy pouffe which helped. I did talk to Nathan and explain, what I felt and he was very amenable to our feedback and advice.
This clearly was personal feedback and you will receive various age ranges, some with disabilities, it's trying to find a middle balance of comfort for all.

Tawny Cottage is a wonderfully peaceful cottage set in pretty grounds, beautifully maintained. The Cottage was cosy, the roaming free range chickens a delight and the family were friendly, helpful and Nathan a wonderful host. The owls were very special. Thank you to Viv, Peter and Nathan for making our stay so special.
