About this apartment rental
Experience the peace, space, and cozy atmosphere of this farmhouse accommodation, located in what was once the hayloft. This charming holiday retreat is situated in the countryside near Schagen. Set out on foot or by bike to explore the surrounding villages, polder landscapes, forests, beaches, and dunes. Parking is free throughout the municipality of Schagen a truly stress-free perk. The historic center of Schagen, featuring great restaurants and a lovely shopping area, is just 4 km away.
The accommodation:
*A spacious living room with a wood-burning stove, seating and dining areas, and a fully equipped kitchen
*Four bedrooms, featuring eight comfortable box-spring beds and two luxury folding beds. Two of the four bedrooms also have a separate seating area with a TV.
*Two bathrooms, both with a separate toilet, plus a third toilet near the entrance
*Use of towels, kitchen linens, and bed linen is included
*A covered outdoor terrace
*A trampoline for the children
*A gas BBQ
*Free on-site parking
*Lockable storage area
*Firewood for the wood-burning stove
From our guesthouse, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful surroundings:
* Breathe in the fresh sea air at one of the nearby coastal villages—such as Sint Maartenszee, Callantsoog, or Petten—take a walk along the beach, or enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea.
* In the spring, explore the stunning bulb fields by bike or on foot.
* Take a scenic walk starting from the 'Tolke' trailhead, following old tram routes, characteristic dike roads, and paths along canals and historic dwelling mounds (*terpen*).
* Visit a museum, wildlife park, or theme park (there are also indoor activities for children in the area if the weather isn't ideal).
* Enjoy a day at the Schagen market and experience West Frisian folklore (featuring a festive parade with traditional costumes and horse-drawn historic wagons).
* Visit the cinema, swimming pool, or bowling alley; for those who love action, there is Scagaventure, offering activities such as go-karting, laser tag, and trampolining.
* Or take a lovely day trip to Alkmaar, Hoorn, Texel, or Amsterdam—perfect for a day of culture, shopping, sitting on terraces, or sightseeing.

Great place to stay! Very friendly and helpful hosts. Quiet location but still close enough to necessities by car. Our teens loved the sheep !
