Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery!
The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.

We’ve stayed here before when walking the Worcestershire way and yet again another great stay.
A great welcome from Tom behind the bar.
This is a beautiful 15th century coaching inn. As you expect the upstairs flooring is sloping in parts and creaks as you wander around.
We stayed in the ‘Wedges’ room, a lovely light room, some of the bathroom fittings are dated, but everything was good, a modern electric shower and all areas clean and tidy.
The bar is excellent, with a great friendly atmosphere with some interesting cask ales brewed in-house under the ‘Talbot’ label.
Good choice of evening meals with much of the ingredients grown in the inns poly tunnels and meats from the local butcher.
All the staff were great, it was pleasant to chat to Annie the owner over an excellent breakfast.
If you want good old hospitality in a fine old rambling inn, this will not disappoint.
