Very good location - short walk to Rialto Bridge but not packed with tourists. Excellent service from the staff. All sorts of useful advice about where to go and what to do. I had never been to Venice before so this was perfect for me. You do have to go up to the third floor carrying your luggage but a staff member came down to carry my bag up (and carried it down too). I do recommend the hotel.

What a lovely place to stay! Barbara was incredibly informative and provided us with the perfect itinerary for our stay. Breakfast was delicious and the location was fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again!

Please note that the rooms are 3 to 4 floors up with no elevator. However, the hosts were more than gracious helping us up with our bags. The Barbara helped us with the best ways to get around and how to get tickets for the water bus which we used to get to the Burano and Murano. The breakfast was delicious and our host was kind enough to get me soy milk so I could have dairy free cappucchinos each morning. Don't be put off by the big scary door to enter on the ground floor and the dark hallway. Once you make it up to the accommodations, you will be happy you chose this place to stay. It is in the middle of everything and so walkable to many places, or walk a bit and grab the water bus. An adventure in itself.
