We loved our rustic, authentic and and ancient room. Our room was at the very top of this former post office building built in the 1500s. Nadia, our host, offered to bring our bags up the several stairways for us. The mini fridge was tucked inside a cute vintage cabinet which had a matching table and chair. We enjoyed the view of the Rialto Mercato and grand canal from the windows. One evening we were dining outdoors at a place recommended by Nadia, when it started to rain. Nadia passed by us on her way home and gave us her umbrella!

Very typically Venetian, very central for walking to all the most important sites. Plenty of restaurants very close after a busy day. Our stay was made special for my wifes birthday with flowers and complimentary Prosecco in the room. Staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful. A tiny bit difficult to find but well worth it when found. We would definitely recommend staying there and we certainly return.

Finding the place was hard because it is hidden in between tight walls. We eventually found it. Staff is nice. Shower is small as expected but had plenty of hot water. They provided free tea and coffee in the room with biscuits. The decorations (bed sheets, curtains) could use updating as it reminded us of the 60s. 20 min walk to the Venezia S Lucia train station, 15 min walk to St Mark's Square. Overall decent hotel.

Great Location and Excellent Value in Venice
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is extremely convenient, especially for exploring Venice on foot. It is very close to the Rialto Bridge, Rialto Mercato, and gondola station, with many great restaurants and sightseeing options nearby.
Despite being so central, the area was quiet and relaxing, which was a big plus after spending the day exploring Venice.
One of the best features for us was the supermarket and local market nearby. We could easily buy water, beer, good wine by the bottle, fresh fruit, and other items at much lower prices than buying everything at restaurants. Having the Rialto Mercato so close was especially convenient for getting fresh food and snacks without paying restaurant markups.
Another major advantage is the easy airport transfer. The hotel is close to the Alilaguna station, making it very convenient to travel between the airport and Venice without needing an expensive taxi or complicated transportation.
The hotel is also very close to public transportation, making it easy to get around Venice without needing a taxi.
Overall, the combination of location, convenience, quiet surroundings, access to transportation, nearby affordable food options, and easy airport access made this a great choice for our stay in Venice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.
