Beautiful hotel, extremely friendly and welcoming staff and middle of shopping/market, train, buses, etc. Gym a little bit too small but overall an amazing stay.

Wow! This place was amazing. I stayed here for 2 weeks. The concierge team was kind and helpful. They were always willing to provide assistance when I needed support. The front desk was warm and welcoming. My room was cleaned daily and housekeeping did a wonderful job. The location was spot on. It was within walking distance to everything from Ximending night market to the Red House, Taipei Main Station, MRT, etc. What I really liked was that the cabs and Ubers were right in front of the hotel so getting picked up and dropped off was convenient. I am definitely going back! What made it even special was that the staff celebrated my birthday with me by presenting a dessert plate and card. They did a great job surprising me!!! I will always remember Westgate Hotel!

There was a slight confusion at check-in, but the staff handled the issue very proactively and promptly.
The room was very clean, and I appreciated the high quality of the amenities, bedding, and lighting.
It is a 2-minute walk from Ximen Station, and with many shops around the building, it is an ideal place for shopping and dining.
It was a breakfast-inclusive plan, and I enjoyed the effort of waking up a little earlier for a slightly different menu each morning, fresh fruit, and delicious coffee. I will stay here again on my next visit to Taipei. The staff are always smiling and very friendly.
