Overall my wife and I enjoyed our time at Ocean El Faro. We had a privilege swim up room which was great. The food and restaurants were good but nothing amazing. The staff were hit or miss on service as some were great but others seemed put off by requests for basic service. The pool bar staff seemed understaffed and struggling to keep up with the number of guests. My biggest complaint was the upkeep of the pools and pool bars with the pools missing many tiles from the surfacing and the pool bars counters falling apart. These area need some serious maintenance.

Gorgeous property and mostly wonderful staff. Personal concierge was extremely helpful and planned many birthday surprises for our trip. Unexpected and very disappointing downfall was that the beach is not useful. Full of seaweed. Balcony suite was HUGE and very well unkept. Cool air and beautiful accents took the spacious room over the top. Amazing view of the pool for our room as well!! Far from airport, but arranging transportation before hand - through trip advisor made to and from the airport a breeze!
