Excellent accommodations in the center of town.

Nice hotel, large room for European standards. Good central location, walkable to major points of interest. Can get a little noisy, especially on weekends with people yelling and partying outside, but not too bad. Would recommend staying here.

Maximiliano at the front desk was so warm, fun and attentive. (and remembered my name each day.) Along with the concierge service and clean rooms - kudos to the staff. (The manager seemed quite stressed but the rest of front desk made up for it.) Hotel has a rock and roll history with photos in mezzanine and dining room. The Black Crows were reportedly there the previous week. And shout out to our server in the bar during the World Cup games and our Argentinian waiter at the hotel’s outdoor restaurant - like Maximiliano, they too were upbeat and delightful.

Our flight from the US came in early, so we arrived at the Clayton Hotel at 10AM. I requested early check-in. My colleague and I had breakfast at the Cafe Americain and had a short meeting upstairs on their second floor. By the time we finished, our rooms were ready - well ahead of the 3PM check-in time. My room had a balcony that overlooked the fountain area. It was a very convenient location to our conference venue. My stay was lovely and would go back again.
