This was my first trip to Rome. I was travelling with my wife and college-age son. The Impero Hotel is conveniently located near the Terminal; where one can also get easy access to the hop-on/hop-off tourist bus lines. It is also located in the heart of some very fine restaurants (try the smaller, less fancier ones on the side streets). If you like classical music and opera; the opera house is right next door. The hotel itself gives you the basics, a bed, a bathroom, and a nice air-conditioned room (essential if you're traveling as I was in the hot Italian summer). But what more do you need, if you're going to be spending most of your days exploring the glories of Rome? The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and the staff were exceptional. If I ever come back to Rome, I will definitely come back to the Impero Hotel.

The room was comfortable, air conditioning worked well,breakfast seemed abundant but was mostly sweet stuff, but the coffee was incredible

Overall experience in the hotel was excellent! Lovely staff, perfect location… rooms dated but clean, bright and very well ventilated. Bathrooms are pristine! Hotel decoration is very nice. Breakfast it’s so well balanced and cappuccinos are the best around! I’ll be happy to go back anytime I want to visit Rome.
