We had a wonderful stay at Plaza Hotel Berat. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
As an Expedia Rewards perk, we were welcomed with a bottle of red wine waiting for us on the table, along with two wine glasses and a lovely floral decoration. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They even recommended and reserved a table for us at Restaurant Ajka, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The restaurant offers a fantastic view across the river towards Berat’s famous “City of a Thousand Windows,” making it a memorable dining experience.
We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and attention to detail and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

The Plaza Berat Hotel is modern, very comfortable (with good air conditioning), has very helpful staff (with good English), and is very well placed to easily walk to any part of central Berat.

35 countries under my belt so trust me when I say this hotel is a good one. If you’re gonna be in Berat this is the one to choose. The view down the promenade from the rooftop restaurant is fantastic. Wonderful way to start the day each breakfast. Good location overall, nice park across street, and nice view of the Colombo hotel dome from the same rooftop outdoor deck. Great breakfast. Staff is perfect. Only improvement they could make immediately is get some ice machines on property. Don’t know what the deal is with all of Albania getting ice anywhere including hotels, or napkins at most meals or drink orders, but that’s nonsense by the rest of the developed world standard. This is NOT a plaza hotel issue, but since seeing it in other hotels and cities before coming to Berat, we notice it. This hotel borders on perfection regardless. :)
