It had all the things we needed.
It was difficult to understand whether the food in the kitchen was left for the guests or belonged to a particular guest.

Very friendly and clean room, neat desk in the corner. Very comfy bed. Handy kitchen area on the ground floor, with fridge, freezer, stove.
Lodge is situated in a rather quiet neighborhood. Even though you're relatively close to the airport, you won't notice it much.
Friendly, helpful owner. Let me store my luggage at the new "shed" nearby past checkout time for a few hours and gave me a water bottle free of charge (compensation for stolen water bottle; see negatives).
Creaky stairs, creaky floor upstairs and creaky doors. With three rooms on the upper floor(s), expect a lot of noise with all the back and forth to the bathroom on the first floor (if all three upper rooms are occupied; lower room has its own bathroom). With travelers staying overnight to catch early flights from Luton airport, expect lodge users walking in after 11pm, or waking up and casually making noise at 4am, others using hairdryers past midnight.
Thin walls – if people watch TV or talk loudly next to you or in the room below, you'll hear it.
And sadly, somebody stole a water bottle and some food from me that was stored in the fridge. This has never happened to me before (seasoned traveler).
Unless you're using an Uber/a taxi, you'll have to walk uphill for 10-15 minutes (from the train station) in order to reach the lodge.

Perfect for the airport

I like that it was close to the Luton airport parkway and Luton airport, the room I stayed in was on the ground floor for family. It passable for a short stay.
The room was not clean, had a very mouldy smell, I could feel dust all over my face like it has not been freshly cleaned dust all over on the fans and portable heating, the beddings very old and felt like it’s been laid for weeks feel of dust. At 6am one of us had left for the airport so our door was not yet locked from inside, the person who checked us in came to open our door, immediately I turned to see who was that, I saw him closing the door, I found that really weird and strange. I do not know why that happened because check out is till 11am and this was just 6am.
