The apartment is centrally located in the Okubo neighborhood, close to convenience store and a couple of grocery stores, restaurants and Higashi-Shinjuku metro station. It was in a quiet location off the main street.
The beds were very comfortable and allowed us to sleep well after some busy days.
Communication with the host was fine, but it took place exclusively through the Booking.com app with some delay (suggestion for the host: it would be much more convenient to be able to use WhatsApp or text messages in real time).
It is quite rare to find 3 toilets and 2 showers in Japan, so this was really a bonus for a family.
However, it’s important to note that the apartment spans three floors: one bedroom is on the ground floor, and two are on the second floor. In between is the kitchen and dining room. So keep in mind that there are quite a few narrow stairs to use every day.
That said, the apartment is large enough for a family of 4 to 6 people and believe me: you will appreciate to have an apartment in Tokyo, especially if it is the end of your Japan trip.
The following comments slightly affect our overall rating - which remains positive - and are intended to help the owner improve the service for future guests.
The towels could be better: they're very thin, and there aren't enough of them.
Also, it would be nice to have a few more pillows.
English instructions for the washing machine and the automatic toilet would also be nice and useful.
The kitchen inventory was limited: only one knife at disposal, no glasses, no tea towel for drying dishes, along with some other inventory for normal cooking and eating (even just a little instant coffee and a few tea bags).
House keys should be locked in a combination lock

The property is on 3 levels which allowed our group of 4 to spread out. The property is located near lots of restaurants and is very quiet and safe. The showers were hot and the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We appreciated having a washing machine.
The top floor has two bedrooms but the shared bath has a tiny sink like an airplane bathroom, causing a mess when washing anything more than hands, so some had to use the large kitchen sink downstairs. We had hoped to relax in a living room space as a group but it was set up as a bed.
