We had issues with our transport so we could not stay overnight, as we had to return to Amman for a flight, given the conflict, but we still did stop here for something to eat and to meet the locals, as they are such genuine people. They gave us a wall around the property, and we could see the accommodation was basic, but comfortable. This is a community run cooperative that needs the support of people to keep their doors open

Dana local life Eco Lodge lijkt te staan in "the middle of nowhere". Toch is Dana Village niet ver weg. Vanuit daar kunnen ook trails worden gestart. Aanrader! Met weids uitzicht op het grootse natuurgebied hoor je hier verder alleen de geluiden van de natuur.
Dana reserve ligt hier 2 autominuten verder en na betalen van de entree kun je het gebied in. Het was er overweldigend en prachtig en het was ook daar in het camp dat ik Ramsi ontmoette. Een behulpzame, authentieke, ruimhartige en aardige man die het beste met zijn gasten, het lokale toerisme en zijn land voor heeft. Met hem en Muna, de lieve onvermoeibare spil in het huis had ik alle contacten. Ik heb me er enorm thuis en op mijn gemak gevoeld.
De kamer (met eigen badkamer, heerlijk!) en het hele gebouw is heel schoon, het dakterras heerlijk ruim en koel. Het eten is prima en samen met Muna is er veel thee gedeeld. Kortom.; een heel fijne ervaring in een thuis ver van huis
Eigenlijk niets. Misschien moet je even wachten voordat de douche warm is. Maar dat je in een dergelijk gebied kunt douchen vind ik al heel wat.
