A calm and comfortable stay in a great location close to Brussels city center

We loved the peaceful location in the forest very close to Brussels city center, with a train station nearby and shops within walking distance. The apartment was well-planned with a comfortable bedroom, functional kitchen, bathroom, and a lovely balcony.

When we arrived, the apartment had not been cleaned, but the host responded quickly and resolved the issue within an hour. There were also a few minor repairs needed in the bathroom, such as the toilet seat and door handle.

Schoon van ver maar verre van schoon

De accomodatie lag aan de ingang van het station Vorst-Oost en op 7 min wandelen van Forest National.

Wij kwamen toe en hadden geen code ontvangen voor het kluisje met de sleutels. Dit zorgde ervoor dat wij de eigenaar probeerden te contacteren via de opgegeven nummer bij de boeking. Wij hebben 11 keer gebeld naar zijn nummer en kregen geen gehoor. Ook heb ik een bericht gestuurd via sms zonder resultaat. De eigenaar heeft ons nooit terug gecontacteerd. Aangezien wij een reservatie hadden op restaurant en een gepland evenement in Vorst Nationaal daarna, hadden wij geen andere keuze dan met onze bagage en een hoop stress te moeten vertrekken met de mogelijkheid dat we nog een andere accomodatie zouden moeten zoeken voor de nacht. We hebben de klantenservice van booking gecontacteerd, waar ik 2x tot 15 min lang heb moeten wachten vooraleer er een medewerker beschikbaar was. Uiteindelijk met een Engelstalige medewerker gesproken, omdat er niemand Nederlandstalig beschikbaar was. Deze dame heeft ons goed proberen helpen en zei ons dat de eigenaar een bericht had gestuurd met een code in, maar dit klopte niet. Uiteindelijk heeft ze het bericht via mail gestuurd met de code in. Toen wij echter terug gingen na ons diner, bleek deze code niet te kloppen. Wij stonden dus nog steeds voor een accomodatie waar wij niet binnen konden. Daarna nog maar eens gebeld naar de eigenaar, waarna deze eindelijk opnam, zeer kort antwoordde en een bericht stuurde met de juiste code. Toen we het gebouw dan eindelijk binnen konden, hadden we geen tijd meer om rustig te verkennen of op te frissen, omdat we meteen door moesten naar Vorst Nationaal, daar we anders te laat zouden zijn. Toen we terugkeerden na het concert, ontdekten we dat de accomodatie er op het eerste zicht goed uit zag, maar vanaf dat je iets verder keek, dat het zeer onhygiënisch was. De badkamer had een duidelijk vochtprobleem en het douchegordijn plakte in elkaar en was vies. De kasten waren scheef gemonteerd of waren beschadigt. De beddensprei die op het bed lag, hing vol met vlekken tot ons groot ongenoegen.

Locatie is goed. Vlakbij supermarkten, restaurants, openbaar vervoer en forest national. Bed ligt prima. Woning is prima voor 2 personen voor een weekendje weg.

De door andere gasten reeds gedane klachten zijn nog steeds niet verholpen. Wastafel in de badkamer die niet goed doorloopt, vlekken, kapotte/scheve kastjes etc.
