Good sized room and layout. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Large bathroom and shower and laundry facilities.
It’s a unique property with cafe downstairs and a space you can relax and read a book. The room has a cassette player with cassettes downstairs you can borrow for your stay.
The freshly roasted coffee beans in the room were a nice treat.
Good location - 15 min walk to Beppu station, 5 min walk to shopping mall, 30 min bus to Oita station. Buss connection from the Sunflower ferry terminal was good too.
Next to a police station and main road, it was very loud at night. The soundproofing isn’t very good and we were woken multiple times in the night by police sirens (they are so loud in Japan!).
The beds were a bit too firm for us.
