I had a pleasant and peaceful stay in Hotel Alphubel, which is just 10meters (4mins) walkable through flat road from the Zermatt railway station. The property is well maintained with all modern facilities, yet gives the warmth of staying in a Swiss chalet. The room was quite big with a very big balcony overlooking snow mountains. Even the guests can enjoy the snowy mountains from the bed itself. Had all facilities inside the room with enough space to walk in as well!
Overall, I loved my stay here and highly recommend to others who want to experience the natural beauty!

Single room on the 4th floor, sink in the room, toilet/shower separate (in the room though) . Located just off the main road in Zermatt, it's quiet (if they have finished construction on another building at the back. Five minutes or so walking from the train station. Zermatt is a very touristic place, so an abundance of restaurants and bars and supermarkets and other shops very close by.
Nothing worth mentioning.
