Excellent view!

Excellent view! The room has everything I needed: Kettle, Coffee machine, water, even a small bottle of Port wine 🍷!

Stunning, location, quality and hospitality.

Wonderful property and hosts. Decor of the accommodation was exceptional. The hosts were so kind, even drove us a considerable distance to a restaurant and then drove us back afterwards.

OK for one night, but not for more.

Sitting on the property's patio, enjoying the view (but, for me, even that got a bit dull after a few hours)

The property consisted of 3 separate units, each with a bedroom and bathroom. The was were very thin and you could hear neighbours talking and using the bathroom. The bathroom extractor was very noisy. There were no windows in my unit (number 6). The only natural light camd from the entrance door, which was mostly glass. The room, therefore, had a little natural light from dawn to dusk. There was a fridge (much needed!) but no cooking facilities The location was, in my opinion, very poor (espeicially if you had no car). Even then you needed to bring all you wanted to eat and drink. The property's location was near the top of a valley side over looking Pinhao - very difficult to walk up to from Pinhao, and very difficult to walk down to. The tarmac roads only go so far up the valleyside, and then it was poorly kept stone roads. Most locals seemed to drive 4 x 4s! I wont stay in the property again. I felt that the owner often wasnt very helpful to me - in particular, never answering my questions fully. Afre 2 nights I was glad to go back to Porto!

A great place to get away from crowds if you arrive with food & drink

The terrace that looked out over the Douro Valley and village of Pinhao. Very calm, peaceful. Fresh air. The room was clean and well-appointed, The AC worked fine. It had everything once needs; however, the terrace raised the experience to a new level.

Although the room was not far from downtown Pinha0 (about 3 km), it felt much longer because of the last km of the road which appeared to have been hand built in Roman times. Very steep, very narrow and stressful to drive. Once there, I was not inclined to leave, even if it meant going without my evening meal. Two easy fix-its that would have made the experience better: a) send the info on how to get into the property sooner; b) send the instructions in English as well as Portuguese.
