The “Deichhaus am Greetsieler Hafen” is a historic vacation home whose name says it all: right on the dike—at “Oma Geertje’s.”
Experience the fishing village of Greetsiel from the front row with a view of the harbor. Located right on the dike, comfortable, with a beautiful pavilion (also known as a “teahouse” in East Frisia) in the formally landscaped garden.
Here, you’ll be in serious danger of wanting to become a Greetsieler—or at least wanting to come back soon ;-)
Here at the Deichhaus by the Greetsiel harbor, you’ll experience the fishing village from the front row, with a view across the harbor toward the twin windmills. It’s just a few minutes’ walk over the dike to the dollhouse-like village center. It’s also just a few minutes to the supermarket or the “Oase” wellness spa.
Greetsiel is the heart of the East Frisian North Sea coast, a vacation region that couldn’t be more diverse. Whether on land or water, whether playing golf or riding horses, whether fishing, biking, or hiking—there’s a wealth of activities to suit every interest.
