Location near Obama Center. Staff was warm, accommodating, and efficient. Property and rooms were comfortable and stylish.
Price was a little steep.

Room and Staff great. Can't beat the location for the University of Chicago.
Reception was understaffed around 2100 at check-in. They did thier best but you cannot service the traffic with one person at this time. Folks in line were frowning. Coffee was complimentary in the lobby -- be forewarned as there was nothing in the room.

A convenient location for the Obama Presidential Center and the Chicago Half Marathon. Liked the relaxed feel of the property.
The housekeeping service was bare minimal to non-existent. We stayed 4 nights. The first night and day was very good and our room was cleaned we when returned from the day. Unfortunately, the next 2 days no one came to service the room at all. We even specifically requested that the room nw cleaned the next day. However, the next morning we left early for the half marathon and returned around noon but no cleaning service so we requested when we went headed out around noon for brunch and a little site seeing. Imagine our disappointment when we returned around 3:30 and still no room cleaning! Unbelievable! Especially since $500+ a night. We were not the only ones as another guest asked me if our room was clean and was also very disappointed.

Two factions contribute to my assessment of the comfort of the beds and the room: (1) the bed linen was very "hot" to sleep on and (2) there was too much light from the shaded window for comfortable and productive sleep.
The bed linen and the light from the window at night.
