Extremely Disappointing and Unsanitary Conditions

The room had some updates.

I was extremely disappointed with this property. The pictures online do not accurately represent the condition of the resort/building I encountered during my stay. The biggest concern was the overall cleanliness and sanitation. The pools had been shut down by the health department due to sanitization issues, which I was not aware of when I booked my room. I only discovered this after arriving and researching why the pools were closed. The property also has a serious roach problem. I saw roaches in my room on the first night and actually had to purchase roach spray because I was so uncomfortable. There was also mold and mildew throughout areas of the property, and the smell in the hallways was extremely unpleasant. The room itself had multiple maintenance issues. The bathroom sink was clogged, the bathtub was clogged, and the electronic door-code reader repeatedly had problems. These are basic issues that should have been addressed before a room was given to a guest. Parking was also extremely difficult, which added to the overall frustration. I was also concerned that the elevators in the building where I stayed did not have the required inspection information visibly posted. Given the other maintenance and sanitation concerns throughout the property, this was particularly troubling. Overall, this was not the resort experience that was represented in the booking photos. The combination of roaches, mold/mildew, terrible odors, sanitation concerns, plumbing problems, access issues, and the health-department pool closure made this stay extremely unpleasant. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this property look beyond the promotional photos and research the current condition of the building before booking. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again.

All and all not a bad stay. I give it a 7 out of 10

The view was good. I liked the personal balcony of the ocean. The bed was comfortable with the exception of feeling the sand on your feet and in the bed. The room was spaceous and smelled good.

The view was good. I liked the personal balcony of the ocean. The bed was comfortable with the exception of feeling the sand on your feet and in the bed. The room was spaceous and smelled good.

There was no breakfast. There was no Wifi, something about it being a building problem. And the pool and hot tub were closed.
