I stayed with CasaSol last year and had such a good experience that I booked with them again this year. Unfortunately, this stay was completely different and incredibly disappointing. On arrival, the only access to the apartment was through an area covered in dog mess, rubbish, old washing machines, abandoned cars and mopeds, and discarded boxes. It was dirty, unpleasant, and certainly not the welcome you expect when arriving for a holiday. We had informed CasaSol that we would arrive at 4:15 pm, but we were left waiting in the extreme heat until around 4:45 pm before anyone arrived to let us into the apartment. Once inside, we discovered the electrics were not working. A member of staff contacted someone to fix the issue, but within five minutes of him leaving, the power tripped again. This continued to happen repeatedly. When I called the office, I wasn’t given the opportunity to explain the problem. The staff member kept interrupting me to tell me how to reset the electrics, even though I had already done exactly that. She eventually said she would send a handyman before hanging up on me. When I tried calling back several times, my calls went unanswered. As we were getting no help, we contacted Booking.com. They explained that they couldn’t move us to another property and that the only option they could offer was to request a partial refund from CasaSol. This was something I had never even heard of before because, in all the places I’ve stayed over the years, hosts have always been keen to resolve any issues directly rather than leave guests without a solution. Booking.com said they would take over trying to resolve the situation. They contacted CasaSol, but were told the staff were too busy to speak. Booking.com were told to send an email instead, and that CasaSol would respond within an hour. The handyman later explained that the air conditioning was causing the electrics to trip, meaning we effectively couldn’t use the air conditioning.

The apparment itself is really big. We got a baby cot from host, which was really convinient. Host is very communicative. There is a common complex pool area to use.

Overall it's a nice location, just the location is in such a area that rental car is a must.

El apartamento estaba bien y muy cuidado. La atención por el personal excelente.

Los vecinos tenian un perro que estaba ladrando todo el tiempo. Faltan cortinas para tapar la luz que entra de madrugada. La ubicacion deberia de ser más clara, esta bastante alejado de Nerja.
