Served a minor one day stretch at this ex prison:) Was pleasantly surprised at how airy and spacious the place was, the screws "sorry, the staff were very accommodating, communal area/commissary was cozy and inviting, freshly brewed coffee was available on tap, probably to keep the inmates morale up lol, my cell block had two bunks with three beds, all with there own bedside sockets and light with retractable curtains, I had the upper bunk after winning a arm wrestling match with Big Raul 🤣
It was comfortable, fresh linen and pillows were provided, there was also a solid caged locker which to my relief was for luggage😅 bring your own padlocks or buy, Showers/ toilets were clean and working, spot on. Would definitely spend a night or two again.
As far as hostels go not much to dislike it had all the facilities, maybe could have done with a cooker of some sort which I didn't notice and 'oh the lift needs attention as I was stuck in there with a girl from prisoner cell block H 😂

great location because very central. The provided breakfast option was appreciated because I was in a hurry.
Everything was fine for a room at the budget end of the spectrum.
