About this house rental
Welcome to the Railamühle Löhma.
We live here with horses, donkeys, cats, sheep, and a dog at the idyllically situated Railamühle, surrounded by nature between the villages of Löhma and Göschitz in the Upper Gülde Valley.
If, like us, you enjoy nature and a simple lifestyle, you’ve come to the right place.
Our vacation home is approximately 70 m² and features two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a well-equipped kitchen with a wood-burning stove, electric range, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer. Yoga classes (individual or group sessions) can also be booked upon request. Towels, bed linens, and wood for the kitchen stove are included for the entire vacation rental, which accommodates up to four people. The vacation rental has no Wi-Fi and no TV!!! Our vacation rental and property are not wheelchair accessible!!!
Outside, there’s a playground and a trampoline for the little ones. There’s a fire pit, a grill grate, a swing set, and various other seating options. Our many animals love to be petted.
Centrally located off the A9 at the Dittersdorf exit, our vacation spot is a great base for planning many excursions in all directions:
You can explore our immediate surroundings on a hike with or without our donkeys (please make an appointment in advance).
In nearby Zeulenroda, there’s a zoo, the “Zeulenrodaer Meer” hiking trail, and the lakeside stage, which hosts many events in the summer.
Other highlights include the “Schleizer Dreieck” (Germany’s oldest natural race track), Burgk Castle, the Plothen pond area, the Teufelskanzel, the Bleiloch Reservoir, and many more.
Gera, Jena, Hof, and Plauen are also not far away, and there’s plenty to experience there as well.
We have a variety of informational materials available for excursion ideas, or we’d be happy to give you a good recommendation ourselves.
Shopping opportunities are available in Schleiz, approximately 5 km away. Small vendors, such as bakers and butchers, come to the village several times a week.
