The rooms and service were exceptional. I highly recommend Kempinski Residences Guangzhou to anyone visiting the city. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Guangzhou.

The room was a studio-type condo, with a kitchenette that came complete with an oven and a spacious ref/freezer. I didn't have much use for them though, but the layout of the room was really great. I also liked that there were many cabinets (some hidden like posts) so I had no problem where to put things. I wish the bathroom had dual sinks like at most Kempinski hotels I've stayed at, but it's not really a deal breaker. But the room was very clean and amenities replenished daily. It was not stingy with bottled water, and in fact, canned drinks inside the ref were free for the 1st day. I wish there was a coffee machine like most 5-star hotels do these days.
There was construction ongoing just across the hotel at this time, so when I went back to the hotel for a midday rest, one can hear drilling and other noises construction equipment make. This also caused traffic and some inconvenience when hailing a Didi ride as most of the drivers don't stop right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast was decent but I've had bigger spreads in Kempinski Xiamen that showcased more local food.
Overall, I was very happy and would still recommend this hotel.
