Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and really enjoyed the hotel, especially the executive lounge.
The only disappointing part was the communication from reception/customer service. After my stay, I contacted the hotel with a simple request and completely understood that they might not be able to help. However, I did expect at least an acknowledgement or a short reply.
Unfortunately, I received no response at all, which was disappointing and not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard.
A lovely hotel overall, but communication with guests could definitely be improved.

Breakfast was decent
Hotel concierge: We ordered quite a few Taobao deliveries and the concierge that handed it was very organised and helpful. This was honestly the only saving grace of our stay here.
Tbh quite disappointed with our stay here:
1. Check in was really slow despite being the only guest at the front desk. It took almost 30 minutes in the warm lobby compared to the other hotels we stayed in.
2. The rooms were quite old and the ceiling of our hotel room had obvious mould stains with musty smell!! My dad's room also had a musty smell and 1 patch of mould.
3. The toilet bowl had some hair on it... im not even sure if the room was cleaned thoroughly before we came in.
4. Last but not the least.... my husband's leg developed multiple red bite marks the next morning after sleeping in the bed... and my face had some rashes in the morning as well. Not trying to jump the gun but it was during the busy Guangzhou Canton Trade Fair and it really made me wonder if the beds and linens were actually changed before we checked in. I'm super disappointed despite booking a 5 star hotel at a premium and I think the other hotels we have stayed have better cleanliness standards. In fact, we even had better experience in 3 or 4 star hotels............. Please at least remove the mould in the hotel room because it is unhealthy to guests and it's just really a bad presentation for a 5 star hotel --> room 3216 and 3208.
