Seven Seas Inn & Suites

The property looked like it was all recently remodeled. Nice size room with a comfortable bed. Check in was quick and the manager was very nice to chat with about the area.

We enjoyed the location and the room. We missed having a coffee maker and the room had an overpowering smell of cleaners. We were able to run the fan which helped. We would stay here again.

Overall a good stay. Key card wouldn’t work initially. After several visits to the front office after being told “this one will work” and it subsequently didn’t, the front desk person finally came up and pushed open the door w/o a key. Ok, so we’re in, but how to make sure is secured when we leave? Also, a working key card was still an issue. Half hour later he returns to change the batteries in the door unit. I understand he was relatively overwhelmed with check in’s/manning the front desk but it was a bit frustrating after a 60+ mile bike ride to get there and wanting to be able to shower and get food. All in all it took close to an hour to access our room. Others seemed to be having issues with key card access as well. Hopefully just a glitch on that particular day. Rooms are newly remodeled. Not fancy but adequate and that’s not why you’re at this motel anyway. Remodeling is cosmetic only, sound proofing was not upgraded. Wasn’t too loud but you could hear neighboring rooms, front doors slam. Proximity to the waterfront and the beach are easily walkable and we didn’t hear 101 traffic from our room on the backside. Overall good for what it is.

It was a very spacious, clean room, beautifully updated. No breakfast or coffee pot, but for the price difference between this property and ones with breakfast, we could easily go out for breakfast at a restaurant, and have money leftover.
