Great hotel with very friendly staff. It sits in the heart of Raleigh's nightlife, and night time noise can be loud especially on weekend nights, though they provide you with ear plugs and a white noise machine (and the air conditioner is loud!). All other factors though (including the complimentary breakfast which is very good) it was a pretty nice stay.

The location of the Hotel is in the heart of downtown Raleigh and there are a variety of restaurants, bars and outdoor venues which make the area inviting. On the weekend we were there, there was an outdoor market on a Saturday evening with a variety of interesting vendors. The sole drawback was that it could be a little noisy, even from the 6th floor.
The Hotel itself was really well run, with clean halls and a friendly staff. We had the best customer service we have ever had at a Hampton Inn with Bee who treated us with warmth and consideration. She went above and beyond to make the stay special. We will definitely be back. A great place to stay!
