Great hotel it is like a modern Ryokan. Rooms were very spacious, we had 2 queen beds and a little living area. Great for a family of 4 with 2 ten year olds.
Buffet was not the best but it was not bad at all. You also get complimentary gourmet coffee, wine and beer at the lobby.
Staff was real helpful.
Convenient location close to everything and all the drivers know it which is great to Tellez them were you’re heading.

Hotel was excellent with very attentive service, very good for English speaking, non-Japanese.
Location is one metro stop from Kyoto station, which made travel using the Shinkansen very easy.
We like to walk around so many sights were within a few miles or just jump on the metro to get around town.
Hotel had impeccable cleanliness. It is not a typical high end US the spaces were not as big as your standard four seasons or Fairmont. But you get a lot of Japanese character and a thoughtful experience.
