Truly Exceptional! From the moment we arrived at The Mora Zanzibar, we knew we were in for something special. We were welcomed with the warmest smiles, refreshing welcome drinks, and a level of hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, but what truly makes The Mora stand out is the exceptional service and attention to detail. The food was nothing short of fantastic! With so many different restaurants, cuisines, and dining options to choose from, every meal was something to look forward to. The variety, quality, and overall dining experience exceeded our expectations. However, what made our stay truly unforgettable was the incredible staff. The level of service at The Mora is genuinely one of a kind. Every interaction felt warm, sincere, and personal, rather than simply part of someone’s job. A very special mention must go to Ahok, the manager, and Teddy, the housekeeping manager. Both deserve the highest praise for their outstanding hospitality. Teddy, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay extra special and memorable. Her thoughtfulness, kindness, and genuine care did not go unnoticed. It’s people like her who turn a beautiful holiday into an experience you will remember for years to come. You can stay at a beautiful resort anywhere in the world, but it’s rare to find a place where the people make you feel this valued and welcomed. The Mora Zanzibar has truly mastered the art of hospitality. From the food and facilities to the smallest thoughtful gestures, everything came together to create an exceptional experience. We leave with beautiful memories, immense gratitude, and absolutely no hesitation in recommending this resort to anyone visiting Zanzibar. A genuine five-star experience in every sense of the word. We cannot wait to return!

Our initial room was not the greatest and was not the cleanest, but was made up on the same day

The staff are exceptional and amazing. Very kind to the children and tool time to ensure that we are well looked after. The variety of food was wonderful and conducive allergy situations. The room size was comfortable and the activities like the language class was very informative and well worth it. We look forward to staying here again.

We loved everything but the wi-fi could be better although I would stay at The Mora again, without doubt.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay as a family. The resort is all-inclusive, with a good variety of food and facilities. Horizon, the main restaurant, is open 24 hours and the food there was consistently good. The resort is particularly family-friendly. There is an ice cream shop with unlimited ice cream, which was a huge hit with the kids, and a very good kids' area with video games, colouring, board games, painting, an outdoor play area and a splash pool. Staff are also available to supervise and engage the children. The swimming pool is huge, with different areas to enjoy, and there is a bar nearby serving a wide selection of drinks and snacks. Most of the staff were very friendly, respectful and helpful throughout our stay. Towards the end of our trip, our little one became unwell, and we were very grateful that the resort has an on-site medical facility. We received very good care from Dr. Jabir, which was reassuring and greatly appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, found the resort very kid-friendly, and would definitely be happy to return.

The biggest frustration was the restaurant booking system. Apart from Horizon, the other two restaurants have to be booked through the app, but they were almost always shown as fully booked. What made this more frustrating was that when we passed by them, they often appeared to have plenty of empty tables. The resort really needs to improve how this system works. We also had one very bad experience with a member of staff who was shockingly rude to us. I do believe this was an isolated incident, as most of the staff we encountered were kind, respectful and helpful, but the experience itself was very disappointing. The resort is also very large, and some rooms are quite far from the main facilities. With the heat starting early in the morning, the long walks can become tiring, especially with children. Carts are available for pick-up and drop-off, but the waiting times can sometimes be quite long.
