At the end of 2020, we took over this forester’s house, built in 1893, and are in the process of bringing its charm to life. The multi-family home is a detached house conveniently located right in the Harz National Park. The center of Braunlage is approximately 4 km away. There is a bus stop right in front of the house, from which buses run regularly to Braunlage, Bad Harzburg, and Sankt Andreasberg. (The bus fare is included in the visitor’s tax.) The garden, which is three-quarters fenced in, covers 3,200 square meters and is perfect for enjoying nature, as a play area for children, for cozy get-togethers, or for watching wonderful sunsets.

Our non-smoking vacation rental, “Platzhirsch,” accommodates up to 4 people. It is a lovingly furnished apartment designed for comfort. The Platzhirsch is located on the mezzanine level; access to the apartment requires climbing 3 steps. From the apartment, you can set out on hikes right away and discover great destinations such as the Achtermann, the Hahnenkleeklippen, the Silberteich, and more.

There are two bedrooms in total, both furnished with a large double bed.
In the living room, you’ll find a cozy sitting area with a TV and radio, and books are also available here.
The kitchenette is equipped with everything you need:

The separate dining room is located right next door. Here you can relax and enjoy breakfast, have dinner, or even spend game nights together
The main bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet, as well as cabinets and a stool.
There is also an additional guest restroom.

The apartment is equipped with smoke detectors.

Free parking spaces are located right next to the house.

The rental price includes the costs for Wi-Fi (no refunds in case of service disruptions), water, heat, electricity, bed linens, and towels.

Tourist tax—must be paid in cash upon arrival:
€3.00 per adult /
€1.65 per child per day per family
You will receive a guest card upon arrival.
(The guest tax is a mandatory fee paid to the city of Braunlage—we’ll handle this for you)

To ensure everything runs smoothly, please adhere to the specified times:
Check-in from 3:00 PM
Check-out by 11:00 AM.
Different times are possible ONLY upon prior consultation. Otherwise, we reserve the right to charge you for the additional time.

*Our property is still undergoing renovations; of course, no noisy work will be carried out while the vacation apartments are occupied. However, we ask for your understanding that in some areas of the building, not everything has been completed as it should be, and there may be contractors working in the other apartments.
