Great location, right in the middle of a busy street with nice restaurants and bakeries in close proximity, but located high enough that noise was not a bother. The lodging looked and felt very classic, very high ceilings, raised bathtub, old school fixtures and a considerable amount of work had gone into extension cables and spikes, so that spikebusters were available close to beds and sofas, as the apartment itself had fewer outlets originally. The apartment was nice, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of one side of the Klotild palace, from the living and bedroom windows. The bath area was separate from the toilet allowing more flexibility when getting ready. The separate toilet area is on the smaller side but has its own tiny sink. It is supplied with an air freshener as there are no easily opened windows or vents that i could recall. The air freshener worked fine and it wasn't an issue for us. The bathroom came with both hot and cold water taps and had a vent. Umbrellas were present in the apartment, which was helpful as it rained on our first night. Overall it was a great value for our 5 night stay!
Some things that future guests should be aware of are,
1) Due to the classic tall and high nature of the apartment, most mirrors were too highly placed for my 5ft partner. She could just see her eyes and above in the bathroom mirror. However, there were two tall mirrors placed on the wall beyond the bathroom which she could use to get ready. The location of the mirrors didn't matter to us much as it was just us 2, but if you are sharing the apartment with friends or acquaintances it may matter, as it is not very private and in an open area accessible from the living and dining room.
2) The bathtub being higher from the floor resulted in slight difficulties while getting out as you would have to precariously put your weight on one wet foot inside the bathtub while your other foot will land on a freely moving floor mat on the wooden floor, which can slip out from under you if you land at an angle. Here i think one possible solution can be to use anti-slip mats inside the bathtub while temporarily fixing the floor mat on the wooden floor, so that it doesn't slip out from under you while landing. As a 6ft i could feel that it could be troublesome for shorter folks and folks with mobility issues to get in and out of the bathtub.
3) Both the bathroom and the toilet area can use a couple more hanging rods to hang clothes, preferably adhesive ones or ones hanging from the door, if damaging the wall is not preferable. While the bathroom has a big rod at the end of the bathtub and a tiny one for a hand towel, the toilet had a tiny one to hang a hand towel but nothing more.
4) During the evenings, the stairways are completely dark and there is no light in the stairs or the hallways except for the ones leaking out from other apartments. The lift has light but the walk to the apartment is also dark especially if no light is coming from other apartments.

Property is very central to everything. Great size inside apartment. Owners were very approachable and polite.
Older furniture and decor, however the location and size made up for that.

Few towels in the bathroom
The bed settee in the bedroom was too narrow for 2 adults , not comfortable and is at floor level.
We were 4 adults and also used the lounge sofa cama which was better but there were no sheets or pillowcases to use.
When we requested sheets we were told it wasnt possible.....

Location is amazing and apartment has everything you need plus great size and love the character. Perfect for a short trip to Budapest - near loads of transport options and right in the centre of busy tourist spot however there was no problem with noise.
