I loved everything; the room and the grounds were very clean and cosy. It was very quiet, as it’s right by the monastery gates and everything around it is in the same style, which made it feel as though you were renting a room in the monastery itself. A very interesting experience.
A huge bonus was being allowed to use the fully equipped kitchen, which had everything I needed to prepare proper meals for my young child using my own ingredients. The kitchen had a kettle, a coffee machine, and a good selection of coffee and tea.
The girls at reception were very friendly. A special thank you to Naialia for the electric heater – she kindly brought it over herself to make sure our little one didn’t get cold. Although, to be honest, the room was warm anyway, even though it’s autumn and it’s been raining.
Read the description carefully – there are separate rooms with a toilet and shower on the same floor, and there are family rooms with a bathroom and shower inside the room. I deliberately chose a standard room because it was cheaper. And it wasn’t a problem having to walk down the corridor to the bathroom. But in that case, do bring your own shower slippers and a comfortable bathrobe. One downside was that there was no hook in the shower for a towel or clothes.

In plane nature, next to the most beautiful monastery in Macedonia!
All was amazing, new, clean, it is till building so when it will be finished it will be even better!

The most incredible place I’ve ever stayed in. So quiet and peaceful, the views are incredible, the area is beautiful, the restaurant down the road is amazing. The monks live there which makes it even more peaceful. My favourite stay in Macedonia!
Beds were very stiff but everything else INCREDIBLE.

The location is truly exceptional, right next to the magnificent Monastery of Saint John the Baptist, surrounded by mountains, forests and remarkable natural beauty. The peaceful atmosphere, warm hospitality and proximity to the monastery made the stay feel genuinely special and unlike an ordinary hotel experience.
There was very little not to like. This is a place to appreciate for its peaceful setting, authenticity and connection to the monastery rather than to judge by the standards of a conventional hotel.
