Very convenient location veery close to the railway station (direct and frequent access to London Victoria and Waterloo) and highways to neighbouring towns (we frequently drove back'n'forth to nearby Epsom) and further afield (we drove for day trips to Canterbury, Stonehenge, Surrey, Kent, Dover, etc. and drove to/from Heathrow airport). The high street shops and restaurants are only a few mins walk away. The apartment was comfortable with good proportions and size, especially for the UK where we often find accomodation to be more cramped. Its style was simple and contemporary. It had a reasonably well-appointed kitchen (see comments on areas to improve) including a Nesprsso and laundry washer/dryer machine, which helped make living there for 3 weeks comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made timely efforts to meet our few requests. The underground on-site carpark felt safe.
A few small areas for improvement. We were there for approximately 3 weeks so intended to use the kitchen for meal prep. The apartment kitchen lacked several necessary items. We asked for them and most were able to be provided e.g. cooking knives, cutting board, etc. However there is no toaster. There was no laundry rack available for drying clothes that we didn't want to put in the dryer, but there is a heated towel rail in the bathroom so we used that and it was okay. A laundry rack would be helpful and more convenient. Cleaning of the room was only every 8 days; we are used to "long stay" apartments being serviced every 3 days or so. Car parking was charged extra and was quite expensive compared to what we are used to in Asia (free parking for guests, especially long stay) although I understand the rate is actually considered quite reasonable by UK standards. These points are minor and didn't significantly detract from our overall positive experience of staying here. We tried the breakfast once and it was fine. However the one time we tried the on-site restaurant for dinner it was obviously just heated packet meals on a plate so we were very unimpressed with those and didn't eat there again. The on-site resturant really needs to improve. However there are loads of good eating spots and supermarkets nearby where you can either eat meals or buy ingredients to cook in the apartment. There is no gym or fitness facility on-site so be prepared to pay to get daily or weekly passes at nearby commercial gyms.
