Spacious and well-located, but the house is very run-down and definitely overpriced
The undeniable advantage of this place is the space – after all, it's an entire house, which is a huge plus in Japan. The location is also great: just a 10-minute walk to the train station and the main town center, and a 7-minute walk to the nearest 7-Eleven.
The house is really, very old and heavily worn out. A day before arrival, the hosts informed us that the stove was broken. Things happen, but instead of setting up the replacement, they just left it in an unopened box for us to unpack and plug in ourselves. Another absurd thing is having to sign a ton of clauses with strict rules and threats of fines. They make no sense in reality, because many things in the house are already old and broken anyway. Quiet hours are strictly required from 9:00 PM. We obviously respect that, but it completely misses the point when, every single night, incredibly loud, modified racing cars speed through the nearby streets. It’s surprising the locals don't do anything about it. Moreover, it's hard to get a good night's sleep because there are no curtains. I understand this is a traditional Japanese house, but it’s worth warning others: the sunlight will wake you up at the crack of dawn. The shower is also very frustrating – the holder is so worn out that the showerhead just spins around. You either have to hold it in your hand the whole time or completely shut off the water whenever you let go.
Taking all this into account, the price of 30,600 JPY per night is completely out of touch with the "quality". For that money, you essentially just get a place to sleep (2 beds and a few thin futons) and absolutely nothing else. I definitely wouldn't rent this place again.

Was passable for one night but would not stay here again
Poor communication skills from the host, not explaining things properly like what apartment we were in and not having no empathy towards a earlier check-in

空間較大,箱根湯本車站走10分鐘,巴士站更近。
7-11不遠,但周遭不供餐的民宿多,購餐趁早。
位置隱密,拖行李找較費勁。
浴缸水龍頭閉鎖,僅能用shower
