A great little pension right in the old town of Bilbao. It's on the first floor of the building, but there's a manned reception to check in up to 8pm (otherwise they send you a code for entry) My room was quite small, but super-comfortable, with top quality furniture and bathroom - worthy of a 4star+ hotel in terms of fit/finish. I had a very quiet room with no view. My colleague has a slightly noisier room with a lovely view down the old street. Six of one, half a dozen of the other!
The only thing to remember here is that there's no vehicular access. Even if you get a taxi, they drop you off a couple of hundred metres from the door. No problem at all for me, but a faff if you've got heavy bags perhaps....

Ease of access. Professional staff. Friendly welcome. Very clean. Ideal location for old town and bars.
Nothing we didn't like.

The receptionist was very helpful and the location was perfect - close to the metro and in the heart of the old town . The room was very clean and the shower had great water pressure.
The room had a small window so it was a bit dark, and unfortunately the door didn't stop hearing noise and other guests talking in the corridor. Regardless it was a pleasant stay.
