Welcoming family-run pub with acommodation.
Fantastic real-ales on tap, brewed themselves.
Lovely real fire in the bar/dining area.
Beautiful area of the Peak District.
The times for breakfast are a bit restricted... but it is understandable from a family-run business. Just have to have expectations aligned with the location.

The pub was very inviting with a log fire burning on our arrival and a selection of of home brewed beer.
Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, we slept well. A large screen TV, tea, coffee and biscuits were all provided too.
We stayed here for dinner for two nights as the ambience and food was excellent. We particularly liked the home made pie which was delicious.
We also had a lovely breakfast which was included in the price, with a great variety available from continental to a a full English. The service was friendly, prompt and efficient.
Overall, we had a great experience.
The weather! Difficult to appreciate the beauty of the Peak District through low clouds!

Landlord & Landlady friendly, nice area, easy to get to where you wanted to go
Seemed as though owners had lost interest, pub on the outside still had banners from 5 years ago, dead flower beds, was not vibrant at all. Booked in an found food wasn't available until 6, quite sad lovely area and could be a lovely B&B/pub l just on our visit it didn't make the most of what it had..
