Oh my GOSH. The bedroom was easily the biggest bedroom I've seen in Japan, and for such a reasonable price, too! It actually felt more like an American room. I wish I had stayed here last, because it would have been so much easier to pack my luggage and all that. On top of that, the hotel as a whole is gorgeous. The onsen on the roof was clean, and I was able to get in before anyone else did. That is SO tranquil. I went to the outside onsen while it was raining and that was a lovely experience. The BREAKFAST!! was my favorite of all the places I stayed during my visit. The pancake machine! The Sapporo specialties! The fruits! I loved everything about it.
My favorite hotel, hands down. Some people might not like that it's about a 15-20 min walk to the station. I called a taxi to take me to the JR side (just be sure to tell the taxi driver that you want to get to the JR side if you're taking a JR rather than a local train).

Most comfortable beds I've had. Great location. Everything feels and looks new.
Onsen is not open overnight.
Need to go to the front desk to ask for towels instead of having them delivered to the room door on non-cleaning days like in other hotels. Price is higher than most alternatives.

The location was excellent, right near the Tanukikoji shopping street so close to shops and restaurants. Good pressure on the shower and loved the bathroom. A little table and two seats so good to sit on in the room.
The room is very small and quite dark. Hard to put a suitcase in the room, no bedside tables to put a drink on. Some hangers but no where to hang clothes. Ok for a few nights.
The staff are extremely rude, I have never come across this before in Japan.
