This was a perfect location for visiting the old city. It wasn't a long walk to reach Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern.

Amiral Palace hotel is ideally situated for exploring the city . A few minutes walk from the two famous mosques and Topkapi palace with tram stop very near enabling easy access to the rest of the city. The area around hotel has lots of restaurant options though the hotel restaurant was excellent. The highlights of a stay are the kindness and helpfulness of every single member of staff we met and the wonderful breakfast with a view of the Bosphorus.

The hotel staff was really really nice and welcoming. The location of the hotel was impeccable, right by the blue mosque, making it easy to stay within walking radius of the main attractions
Breakfast was decent, the best part being the view. Amazing morning landscape looking over the sea
The room was also very clean, and the bed was super comfortable
The room was a bit too small, making it hard to move around sometimes, but still very pleasant and well furnished. The sink smelled a bit bad at times

The staff was excellent...helpful and welcoming...and the bed/room itself was comfortable. The restaurant was adequate.
Unfortunately, the location of my room was problematic since there were stairs between the elevator and my room. I have bad knees and walk with a cane, so this caused me considerable discomfort. Also, my room was above/adjacent to a very noisy street/courtyard that had comings and goings all night that prevented me from sleeping.
