Great place to spend a few days in Porto

Great value for a comfortable one-night stay in Porto.

Apartment was very clean. Great value for price. Host very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Good kitchenette facility. Nice touch that host provided some welcoming snacks and a couple of cold beers in the mini fridge.

Rooms have no view. Location is a bit far from center. No parking at property (but public pay parking is available). Towels were rough (but clean, and host brought more when requested.)

Location. Location. Location.

City Heart Place 4 was all about the location. We stepped out of the front door onto the main street, Rue De Santa Catarina, which was directly opposite the Chapel of Souls, on Rue De Fernandes Tomas, The fantastic Market Do Bolhao was within 100ms and the fact the entrance to the Metro Bolhao was 5ms meant that when it was raining (and it rained all the time we were there😥), we were able to use the subway and walk directly in to the market, and stay dry, was an added bonus. The Majestic Cafe was within walking distance but we chose to use Fabrica De Nata Santa Catarina because it was much better value for money, and closer to the apartment. The apartment had 2 bedrooms with twin beds in each room and a further double sofa bed in the living/dining/kitchen area. The bathroom had a lovely shower. Unfortunately, the water pressure is not brilliant and we were unable to get the over head shower to work, but the hand held shower head was adequate. The bedroom curtains need some attention - they need more hooks and do not close smoothly. The bathroom door needs to be adjusted as it didn't close very well. This apartment is not luxurious - and if it was, considering it's location, it would probably cost 3-4 times more, but it has everything you need. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment as long as the occupant manages their expectations and understands that this is great 'Value For Money' option - not a 4* hotel. Susanna met us, showed us the apartment and handed over the keys, and her communication throughout was excellent. Great host.

The entrance door was not very well signposted and slightly hidden away in the alcove of a neighbouring shop. More signage would have been very helpful.
