The hotel is in a good location, very close to the metro, which makes it convenient for getting around Cairo. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, it is a good place to stay and sleep while visiting Cairo.
The building itself is not in very good condition. The hostel does make it clear that the building is managed separately, but I think future guests should still be aware that the common areas are not very clean and that the elevator often doesn’t work. Since the building has around 10 floors, this can be quite inconvenient. There is also a lot of honking from the street, although this is very typical of Cairo and probably difficult to avoid anywhere in the city. The breakfast was not particularly good, but it was enough to get by.

Quiet Sanctuary on the top floor, spacious bedroom, chill vibe. Great breakfast

Location is convenient to several restaurants and within an easy walk of the Egyptian Museum. Staff were pleasant and helpful and seemed to go out of their way to please us including booking tours, accepting payment for such and making sure we were met by drivers they arranged and assisting with Uber pick ups. Laundry service is available and inexpensive. Breakfast was plentiful and the menu varied slightly. Kareem was especially helpful prior to our arrival and during our stay.
The elevator! The hostel is on the 10th floor accessed by an entrance that was questionable. The elevator was not clean. It was scary after dark and other people (on various floors) often left the door open when exiting which meant it was non operational on more than one occasion. Twice we were charged extra by Uber because we had to walk down 10 flights of stairs to reach the external door and we were late for pick up. The common areas in the hostel were not air conditioned; windows were open and flies were a nuisance. Although it is touted as a non-smoking facility, some staff and guests smoked in the area adjacent to the elevator. The main refrigerator did not work, contained spoiled items and smelled.
