We had a wonderful stay at Ritigala Hideaway. The property is located in a beautiful and peaceful natural setting, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and the hospitality was excellent. We also had an amazing elephant safari and really enjoyed the cooking class, which made our stay even more special and memorable. Everything was well organized and we truly enjoyed our experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with great experiences!

The place is very nice and quiet even though it's not too far from the main road. Very easy to access and the host is extremely welcoming. The owner (Ruwan) has a wealth of experience in hospitality, working for 5 star hotels in Sri Lanka as well as Dubai and the United Kingdom. He understands what foreign travelers are looking for and is catering to those needs with enthusiasm. This is a perfect place serious nature lovers, and people that enjoy peace and quiet.

Besondere Lage, weg vom touristischen Rummel. Mit dem Rad zur historischen Stätte.

Wir haben sie 2 Tage genutzt, und die Gegend erkundet, den See östlich von der historischen Stätte - sehr empfehlenswert.
Die historische Stätte ist mehr ein Urwaldweg, der touristische Preis von 6US$ eher zu hoch, mehrere friedliche Affenarten zu sehen, der Weg hinauf zum Gipfel ist nicht erlaubt (Elefantenzaun-kann gequert werden) Die Affen dort interessiert und scheu.
Essen gut, fairer Preis, flexibel auf Diätwünsche :-)
Es gab sogar Kleiderbügel :-)

Zimmer ohne Zubehör wie zB: Wasserkocher - entgegen der Beschreibung
Brauchten wir jedoch nicht, wir haben den Tee nachmittags direkt bestellt.
