The restaurant offers great breakfast and very good selection of dishes for dinner

Machico is a small town, located not far away from the airport (10 minutes by taxi). There are no tourist crowds, but there is a small sand beach. All together makes the hotel a good place to spend calm holidays.
The hotel itself is enormously clean (rooms are cleaned everyday). On the first floor, there is a wonderful restaurant with a perfect local cuisine and friendly staff. And there is a sea view from the room balcony where you can sit, read and drink wine.
In the reviews, a good breakfast is mentioned. The breakfast consists of coffee (a good one), bread, one sort of cheese (a cheapest one), hydroponic tomatoes, a lot of sweets… If someone likes that, then ok, but this sort of breakfast isn’t mine. A good thing is bananas and oranges, fresh and local.

Location was great and the view from the balcony was lovely. Coffee was great!
Bed was hard, breakfast was lacking (nothing hot), water took ages to heat up
