Lovely gardens and great scenery.
Most of the staff were unfriendly, it almost felt like they didn’t want to be there / everything was a big effort. In particular, the male staff member at the front desk on the morning shift during our stay who seemed to find difficulty in saying anything… (like it was too much effort).
The rooms are not sound proof so you can hear everything from the road outside, and all of the neighbours - on our first night, we had the security guard watching TikTok on his phone outside our room!
The cleaning isn’t great and on one of the days I found a loose cigarette butt that was on the wall of our room…
For a hotel that is so highly praised the experience was very average. Wouldn’t return.
