It’s a lovely country hotel with a lovely atmosphere. It’s a plus to have the spa.
The only thing I didn’t like was the buffet breakfast as it was lukewarm and that spoiled it for me. Breakfast should be hot.

We loved everything about this property. Excellent facilities, pretty gardens and delicious food. However, the best thing about this hotel is the staff. Especially Lucy who looked after us for days in the dining room.
I must also compliment the ladies on reception who made our daughter’s wedding day extra special. Also the staff in the spa, especially the beauticians. If you are looking for that special hotel I can’t recommend the Retreat highly enough.
Not a thing. I would however like to see some salad served at the buffet breakfast. 😊

Room and pool were very good.
Not enough sunbeds on a nice sunny day and when asked staff not bothered. Hot tubs were not on, as wood fired and water was freezing no staff sorted this out.
We went for dinner and the view was amazing and the staff were great.we had a starter but then over 1 hour for main and it was too late so ruined the evening slightly.
Will not return as not up to the standards that this hotel should be.
