I liked the price and the location is good for me as i live in the far east but come from Littleover so a great familiar location. the beds are very comfortable better than some of the pricier hotels i have stayed in. The room is very basic but ticks the boxes as it was just somewhere to sleep and park the car at night safely. I actual stayed a few more nights and the staff were on point to do this for me even late at night. I recommend this hotel to people because of the value and comfort of the beds. The carvery and food in the public house adjacent is very good.
Nothing really as it is what you pay for.

Kings Highway is quiet and in a good location for our visit to Derby.
There was a funny musty smell when we first walked in the room. We opened the window and this helped.
The soft furnishings had dirty marks on them and the settee was badly worn ie the cushions slopped steeply to the middle. There was no bedside cabinet on the right hand side of the bed.
The taps in the bathroom were unusual and very awkward to use. The lever started out on the left, as you moved it to the right the cold water flowed and it got hotter as the flow increased..
In general the room needs an upgrade.

Location, but the staff are excellent and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was superb and to our liking.
Breakfast was just OK, we stayed here in April and we felt it was better then, no black pudding, no mushrooms this time. a touch disappointing on this front.

Staff were all very polite and accommodating, food was standard Marstons pub grub, but everything did come out piping hot.
Ideal location for our visit to Darley Abbey.
Room wasn't cleaned and prepared from the previous visitor when we got to our room.
The staff were very apologetic and we were swiftly moved to another room.
2nd night sleep was disturbed by someone smoking weed outside of our window at 1-2 in the morning and there was a fainter smell of weed in the corridors leading to the exit.
